John Matura

Major and anticipated graduation date:

Majoring in Computer Science with a concentration in Software Design and Development.
Minoring in Mathematics, as well as Human Development and Family Sciences. Graduating
Spring 2024.

Academic Background:
Growing up alongside technology I naturally took interest in hardware, originally admitted to
UConn for Computer Science and Engineering, I later realized I found software to be much
more creative and switched to Computer Science.

Research Interests:
I am interested in researching algorithms design and analysis, as well as quantum computing.

Professional Experience:
I have previously interned as a data analyst and software engineer. I currently work part time as
a software engineer, and I also work for UConn IT in the library.

Interests/Hobbies:
I enjoy collecting vinyl records and I am currently looking for a project car that I fix up myself.
